Preschool and Daycare Discussion
|
I live in Shaw and work in Rockville and am looking for a day care center that is metro accessible somewhere in-between.
I am a single mom who after splitting with my son's father is now employed and moving into a new apartment in September. Anyone know of affordable, quality child care for an almost 3 year old? My son ideally needs to be somewhere the beginning of July, I am feeling a tad overwhelmed! Any help or advice is greatly appreciated. Thanks so much! kari |
| I don't know what that line is - but the Red Line is walking distance to the two Children in the Shoe locations in Bethesda. |

I take the Green line two stops (to GalleryPlace/Chinatown) and then transfer to the red line which I take all the way to the Rockville station.
Do you know if the Children in the Shoe has a website? I will Google it now! Thanks so much! kari |
| yes - www.thechildrenintheshoe.com. |

Kinderhaus in Cleveland Park - it's a little bit of a walk from the metro, but doable.
Broadcaster's in Van Ness, about 2 blocks south of the metro. |
| Healthy Beginnings Child Development Center is walkable from Twinbrook metro, although the security folks might have a problem with people walking in and out with their kids. I'm not 100% sure, but check the rules if you look into this center. We are there and are very happy. They will probably have space for a 3yr old, too. It is a BH facility. |

Family Academy of Bethesda is walkable from the Bethesda metro. |
| First Baptist Church Child Care Center at 16th and O Streets NW. My daughter loved it there. |
