Building off of Columbia Pike and Carlin Springs Rd.

Anonymous
Ok people, this is driving me nutty- there is a gunmetal grey building off of Columbia Pike and Carlin Springs road, it has a gated entrance with guard booths and big walls/fences around it. There is no sign that says what it is, and I am super curious. Anybody know what it is, or if you tell me will you have to kill me?

Yeah I wondered too.

There's a website called "WikiMaps" or "WikiMapia" or something like that, and it's a pretty good tool for identifying buildings like that.

Not the same kind of thing but I've always wondered who built and owns the incredibly ostentatious Casa De Amor on River Rd. near Potomac Village-drug money, sports star, diplomats???? Anybody know?

The building is not identified on Wikimapia or Google Maps. I wish someone had the answer to this question because it's always bugged me!

I am curious about this, too. The place is just over the top.

If you know the street address for Casa De Amor you may be able to get somewhere

I've googled it about eleventy billion times-nothing except a brief mention with no info in a WaPo gossip column. Don't know the exact address. I just thought maybe a nearby neighbor who checks this site might wish to tattle-the home is obviously built to be talked about.

I used to work in the building back in the 90's and it wasn't so heavily guarded back then

It used to have a Hot Shoppes like Cafeteria in the bottom of the building and it was open to the public.

At the time, it was various Dept of the Army offices. I worked for one of them in college.

Wait til you see it at night with the rainbow lights going under the fountain-somebody must know who lives there? And what's with the gun turret?
