| Where would you stay and what would you do, for say a 4 day visit? |

Hotel Roanoke is good place.
Check out the Natural Bridge, the Safari Park, Dixie Caverns, and of course the beautiful mountains. Tons of history down there too (Civil War) like Washington & Lee and Lexington. If your children are college bound age then stop in at the colleges along I81 - JMU, Sweet Briar, VMI, the Mennonite one, W&L, VT, Hollins Univ. |
| You can also take a trip to Smith Mountain Lake. If you go to Blacksburg (45 min away) in the summer you can go tubing. I haven't been to Roanoke since I took the bar exam a lifetime ago but as a Hokie I'd say stay in Blacksburg and enjoy that part of the region! |
