Math placement for rising 7th graders

A little over 1% at my kid’s APS MS last year. I’m sure it varies by school.

Can you access calculus in APS if you are doing the IB diploma if you take algebra in 8th?

Dude there’s a handful of MS. just say the School so everyone doesn’t have to go searching in ParentVUE.

I didn’t say which one because I thought this was driven by the school year that was just finished – and my kid just finished 5th. Sorry! I wasn’t trying to be coy or anything. If it matters, HBW.

Algebra 1 in 8th gets you to Calculus in 12th following the standard progression.

So do most of the 6th graders get recommended for pre-algebra in 7th? The minimum qualifying scores are not all that high.

The APS School Talk email about the letters went out today; is yours not in ParentVUE?
