DD started to cough Friday evening. Pretty much only when she's in bed or napping. Symptom free aside from the cough. Ordinarily it wouldn't be a huge deal except I'm 38 weeks pregnant and I'm hoping she'll kick this very soon as I want her to visit in the hospital when I give birth.
Any insight on any bugs/cough going around would be very helpful. Thanks! -CK |
| i know i caught something. i have a terrible cough. and i think my DS might have an ear infection. |
| Same symptoms here, except the only coughing at bedtime turned into coughing all day long yesterday. No fever, some runny nose, and just coughing. And cranky |
| have you noticed more coughing on high-pollen days? My ped says that when the pollen's as bad as it's been, that everyone's affected. My daughter definitely reacts to it with more coughing/sneezing than usual. |

| I have a coughing baby with runny nose (clear so far, though) and fever (around 101-102) and crankiness. So I think something is going around. But then again, when isn't something going around... |

This is just what I am now recovering from. Dry cough which turned into hacking cough so bad that it was hard to sleep at night. I even pulled a muscle in my rib case so coughing hurt a lot. Went to the nurse practitioner and got cough medicine with narcotics in it -- great stuff, could finally sleep at night. Also she gave me antibiotics if the cough didn't go away which it didn't.
But I rarely had the other symptoms associated with colds and flu -- no congestion, no fever, no stuffy nose, only a little sinus drainage. Weird. NP thought I might possibly have whooping cough but it turned out not to be the case. |
