Some mantles... ![]() So this modern house had very minimal decor...but then there was a giant, fake polar bear in the kitchen. ![]() Maybe not minimal, but a simple color scheme. ![]() |
Love the candles on the tree! You don't see that often anymore, at least not in this country. Classic. |
Thank you Eye Candy- love some of the pics. My favorite is the kitchen table w/ wicker chairs and wreaths in the windows- I'd love a room like that. We went simple this year too- less than half the ornaments on the tree, mostly greenery around the house- very little red. |
Love Eye Candy! Thank you! You found me some lovely yellow themes for a teen boy room and I appreciate it!
I would like to see the giant polar bear. |
How do you post pics 😳 |
Eye Candy!!! I have missed you! Hope you are well.
|
I love that one too! |
Ok I admit I am not an expert on this but if these are minimalist, what does ornate look like??? |
I'll do some maximalist stuff today...I think just making the thread got me in the holiday mood!
First, the kitchen polar bear. The caption says it's "courtesy of Holiday Warehouse," which looks like the kind of place Turtle Creek Lane shops. ![]() |
Some more ornate looks.
I keep coming across this photo and it makes me smile. That's a designer named Richard Keith Langham and he throws big holiday parties every year. ![]() An outdoor tree that has a little more going on that the last one I shared. ![]() Brian Branton, a lobbyist who lives in Old Town, goes all out for Christmas. Even the bedrooms get decorated. His garlands and wreaths are amazing. See his instagram for more. ![]() |
I've had this open on my browser for a day and I guess it's time to she it. There's so much going on, but I feel like this person dgaf what anyone thinks. It's not my style, but I appreciate them doing their thing. Also, the dog looks like they'd like to be elsewhere.
![]() Madcap Cottage has multiple trees and color schemes. Here's one. ![]() This is the dining room in a blogger's home. I counted five trees in the home, but I may have missed one. Last year, there were two in this room. ![]() That blogger changes the colors on the trees every year, which makes me wonder if she rents decor or has amazing storage. She did a butterfly tree for her child last year, which was different. ![]() |
The Alexandria house is great, I would love to go to a party there, find myself awkwardly with no one to talk to, and happily get drunk by the fire trying to make friends with the dog. |
The butterfly tree is just insane. I’m sorry. The poor baby! Does she not get to touch it?
I kind of love the idea of kid trees but I think they have to be touchable. |
I missed you Eye Candy Op! Thank you for posting.
Can you please share where you found the picture with the white tree? I’m looking for a side board/cabinet just like the one in the picture! Same question for the middle kitchen post? I’m obsessed with the cookbook bookshelf by the island idea.

I had a little tree when I was a kid and I agree. That was when you could get ball ornaments that were silky thread wrapped around Styrofoam. Remember those?
If you pay extra attention to the dog when you are over, you are a friend for life. You are welcome at my home any time!
If you mean the black dining room picture, the blogger is Kelley Nan. She's a little extra...prepare yourself! That kitchen belongs to Alexis Walter (here's her instagram). It was featured in Southern Home Magazine. I flipped through the kitchen highlights she has in her instagram stories and didn't see any reference to the bookcase. Sorry! Here's a close-up, though. |
