I use the double-sided 3M stuff that comes off without hurting the wall.

Does anyone have one that they like that would be suitable for airplane travel? We've got a big heavy one that we use for road trips but I really don't want to take it when we fly because it weighs a ton. I'm looking for a player to keep my 4 yr old occupied on a coast to coast trip. We normally fly Jet Blue so I know if he gets on and there's not "tv" he's going to be one grumpy traveler. If it makes you feel better, see if you can do shifts having him sleep on your chest. It's what I did with my little one when he was sick and uncomfortable.

There's a "but" to Falls Church City ... sure taxes are higher but the schools are top notch, the neighborhoods safe and there are lots of community activities within walking distance for folks. I'd wouldn't live in Falls Church unless it was Falls Church City. There are some very sketchy neighborhoods in the outskirts. Check out the neighborhoods off of Great Falls ... lots of kids and families.

Georgia Brown's has a jazz brunch and back in the day (I'm talking 10 plus years) there was a bbq restaurant in Georgetown that had a gospel brunch that was fun. I can't think of the name though ...

Yes. We live in Mclean. But ... there are parts that do not have sidewalks. Luckily, around us there are more than enough to enjoy plus lots of great side streets and out-of-the-way places for my toddler to learn to ride a bike.

We went to Sanibel, FL this past summer for a week with our then 2.5 year old and 9 month old. It was fantastic and we plan on going back this coming summer. The ocean was not cold and was so calm that even the 9month old could sit in the shallows at low tide while his brother "surfed" and searched for crabs. We rented a private condo so we could prepare our own meals and spent a bit more to be right on the ocean. After the kids went to bed, hubby and I could sit on the balcony and enjoy the view. The place we stayed also had a pool but we never made it there b/c the beach was too fantastic to miss. The town is cute with some fun shopping while the kids sleep and restaurants at all price/family style levels. I really cannot say enough about it!
