Hi, hope someone can help us! A friend of mine just tried to take her young (7) son to the RainForest Cafe in Towson and found it is closed! Does anyone know of a themed/experience restaurant similar to RainForest Cafe for kids? She doesn't think he would be too into Medieval Times, but something similar, and he's not all about Bugaboo Creek either. She lives near the Rockville area, but would travel a bit.

Thanks for any feedback!
Hmph! I tried to look up a couple centers and can't find the KidStop in Rockville or the KinderCare in Rockville. Guess this is why they haven't formally announced it
Was just coming out to post this from WTOP! Very happy to see this, but wish they had gotten as detailed as it seems the VA one is.

Direct linkage: http://msdecompliancereports.org/

Also very very happy to see my in-home has done great on her inspections, doesn't really surprise me, she's got a good area set up.

What was your bad experience? I've absolutely loved it there for over 2 years now. Infants, toddlers, and 2s.

Just overall wasn't happy. I think it was too many kids, too much going on, too much of everything. I wouldn't at this point really go back and detail the things I didn't like, it's been about 2 years ago since I was there and I hear some things have changed. I'm not sure I'm the daycare center type of Mom, it may be that I'm just more comfortable with small environments. If you've been happy there for over 2 years then I would think you'd stick with it regardless of my experience . Every time I do check reviews on here it really just seems like some people have a good experience at one place while others have a terrible one - there's just no guarantees I guess!

I toured the KidStop and it's probably made the best impression on me because of it's size. It was calmer, even with some fussy kids in there. Several of the things I liked about KinderCare are also there, ie the drawers and own spaces for the kids, bringing in diapers weekly instead of daily, that they separately label the formula and breastmilk, online payment options, and the location is a huge plus. All good stuff. I haven't found much in the way of reviews on here, maybe because it's so small? I'll drop you an email Cinster04.
Well, in case anyone reads the original post looking for the same things I'll update.

KinderCare on Crabbs branch was already a No from previous bad experience.

Goddard in King Farm I've toured. Not sure it's the place for us. I'm disappointed, I was banking on them. At that price I expect to be paying for a better care environment, and I'm not sure they would provide that.

I hope to tour KidStop off of Redland soon, already on their wait list though but it sounds like it's long. She also recommended first getting the babe into KinderCare and then transferring to them when there was an opening, but like I've said I'm not comfortable going back to KinderCare.

Hitting the Montgomery County LOCATE site to start looking at the in-home daycares in the area. I've got my older child in one in northern part of Gaithersburg and I really do like her (though we're moving him because of the new baby, location, and drop offs). When the new babe gets old enough to not be breastfed anymore I hope to put him with her.

Ah well, if you have any recommendations for this area I'd appreciate it!

I can't help the original poster, but I'm looking to tour KidStop this week so I'll add my request to anyone out there that may have some insight to this center! Thanks in advance...
I need a daycare in Derwood, MD, or very near. I'd like to be able to breastfeed on my lunch hour.

I already know about the KinderCare on Crabbs Branch and the Goddard School in King Farm.

Any other recommendations? Please only refer an in-home if the ratio of kids to caregiver is way lower than they are allowed to have, I know the 2 under 2 rule but when you add 6 higher ages to that mix and do an 8:1 kids to adult ratio I think that's too many for an infant to get really good care and attention.

Thanks in advance!
