My understanding though was that 7-8 years ago their 1st teams were in CCL, at least on the boys side. I was just trying to understand how/why it changed.

Well, looking back to around 2015 I see Arlington, Loudon, Potomac, BRYC, SYC among others.

A few years back it seemed like most of the major clubs in the area were in CCL and it had a lot of momentum. What happened?

Where does Elite 64 fit into the USYS "pyramid"? Above National League? Alongside National League? Entirely separate?

I saw that Coppermine have joined but that seems to be the only local club entering so far.
