I would suggest getting your kid into one of the futsal academies around here (e.g., Alexandria, TSJFA, GFR Futsal Academy) and focus on tournament play. This way they GK get actual futsal training and then better facilities, refs & competition. United Sportsplex in Manassas hosts several tournaments locally and then you have State Cup at STJ, USYF regionals in Richmond and USFF Regionals in Atlantic City. Way better futsal experience overall IMHO.

That facility and league are a joke. 1/2 sized courts, lazy & inept referees, and terrible quality of competition. Wouldn't expect anything less than slippery courts.
