Dear Parents and Members of the Washington Hebrew Congregation,

We are deeply appreciative of your concern and interest in the developments at Washington Hebrew. When we first became aware of an allegation of potential inappropriate behavior by a single individual, we immediately reported the allegations to the police who began an investigation. We have been working closely with the police, who have asked us not to share certain information publicly out of concern that disclosing more specific information than we have already shared could compromise their investigation.

Our first concern is with the safety of our children. Law enforcement is actively and aggressively investigating the allegations. We will pass on any information that we learn as guided by the police. If you have any questions for the school, please contact us directly using the information provided to you in the communication sent yesterday.
