PP 17:13 How did your DD get to shadow two days at Visi? I thought shadow days were just one day.

Do you mean split level house? We are looking to do the same thing and would also be interested in experiences of others. We are considering the purchase of either a split level (side split not split foyer) or a ranch to pop up. I'm not sure if a bi-level is a split level.

What do you mean by location? Do you mean proximity to the school? Both campuses are convenient for us as we live between the two so that's about even.

DD is considering both but is leaning towards Holy Cross. She is a strong student but is put off by the stories she hears about grade deflation and endless hours of homework at Visi. She certainly is a hard worker and excels academically but also is an athlete. A number of people (current teachers & parents of HS girls) say Visi is unnecessarily stressful and not worth it compared to Holy Cross. I know she loved the thought of Visi before she got this feedback.

Any insight?

Moving from upper, western Montgomery County, MD. Want to find proper balance between a downtown feel and a suburban neighborhood. We've lived in a suburban - almost rural - area for 20 years. Ready to move closer in. Which do you prefer and why? We're a family of five with teenagers. Kids go to school in DC so schools local schools not an issue.
