What music streaming service?

I am new to this. My kid is using Spotify and says it's great because she can make her own playlists and listen to others playlists. We also have Amazon prime.

Here's what I found:

If you are a subscriber why did you choose your music service? TIA!

I use the free version of Spotify.

Spotify. You can be on a family plan. I share it with DH. Can play it on my phone or my Alexa.

Pandora meets my needs. You can try it for free with ads.
Most people I know use Spotify, not sure how differentthey are.

Spotify, I signed up for it the day it was available in the US ten years ago and have loved it ever since. Pandora always seemed kind of lacking to me. Well worth the money and we have the family plan.

I use Apple Music and share with my family. We all have IPhones so it’s very integrated plus I have Apple Play integrated in my car.

We get Apple Music free with the iPhones. It’s fine.
We pay for Sirius because we hate commercials — but it still doesn’t let you make playlists or list to others’ playlists, correct?

Is this still an active deal? I think my Hulu+Spotify student discount is about to run out.

There is really no competition - Spotify. You can choose all the music you'd like and put it on playlists. You can go in on a family plan. You can hear other playlists and podcasts and etc.

Pandora will curate songs but you can't create your own mix.

Every other streaming service is a lot of work whether you buy each track listing or the way they are set up for you to choose. Spotify is awesome.

+1. Every few months they have offers 3 months for 10$ or similar, so then I upgrade and go back to free when promotion period ends

I use Pandora. I have exactly one huge playlist. I like it. It's free. Two 15 second commercials every 6-8 songs.
