Why is it so hot?

The news just said tomorrow at 11 am it will feel like mid 90's and into the 100's by afternoon.

Can we just throw away the rest of summer and get right to Fall? I'm dying!

We’ve had a mild summer, compared to past years.

Why is it hot? It’s mid august. The height of summer.

Dog days of summer, OP! It’s a thing.

It's usually hot here in August and this year it's super humid on top of that.

Usually we will get a break near the end of August, but then it will get hot again.

The humidity is awful this year.

This summer has had more 90+ days than average, with more to come.

I am moving to a lesser humid area when I retire. I detest the humidity. I don't understand how people can live in FL. I went there once in the summer. OMG. I thought I was gonna die.

Did you just emerge fully formed into a DC summer, OP? It’s always been like this. In fact this isn’t even as worse as some years.

Not true, as this week will put us above average, for 90+ days.

God, I can't wait for some 50-65 degree days. Can't get here soon enough.

They’ll be here for a few weeks in November and then it’ll get cold! Autumn and Spring tend to be the shortest seasons around these parts.

I've lived in DC for 31 years. I think one difference is that as I've gotten older I have less heat tolerance.

Also, I hear you guys but it defintely feels hotter this year. And the humidity, ugh!
