Upper NW folk need to stop being so painfully polite. If you see someone shouting expletives in the street, call for help. Start here, non emergency 311 as well, and 911 if you hear threats and the like.

This is the same incident - 30 year old man with his parents (ages 54 and 61) was attacked by a 38 year old man shouting that they didn't belong. Happened 3800 block of Wisconsin/at Fulton. Man charge with 3 counts of assault. The father had a broken wrist, son a fractured finger, mother arm pain. The post story did not include the anti gay slur.

Another unreported crime - college sophomore from Bethesda victim of a drive by shooting in DC sometime early Sunday morning. Pray for Xan and his parents.

A painful sense of obligation that people.need to get over. Everyone has a cell phone - instead of taking a video, call for help when someone is clearly losing it on the street.
