Looking for a plug in SUV that's not a hybrid. Any reccs?

I absolutely LOVE my Tesla Model Y.

My friend got the new Ford Mustang electric SUV, and it’s really nice.

I love our Tesla Model X, which we've had for five years. But unless you have money to burn, I'd get a Y (not available five years ago).

Tesla's have terrible quality. The fanboys overlook a lot. They do have the best tech and performance and range.

Range and network are king. Tesla has the best charging network.

Rivian is a very interesting brand that will be releasing the R1S soon.

Yep, quality control and customer service is lacking. But as of today, they beat everyone else on tech, range and charging network. Give it a year and there will be so many more choices from traditional manufacturers.

I wpuldn’t buy based on charging network because that— unlike your car— is changing very rapidly, and it’s basically Tesla vs every other car/electric company in the country so it’s only a matter of time before Tesla loses any advantage it has.

OP, What is your price range?

OP just FYI for your research and googling purposes, most automakers use the phrase "plug-in" specifically to describe their hybrids (PHEV, or Plug-in Hybrid Electric Vehicle), whereas their fully electric vehicles are simply labeled "electric"

Eh. I'm the PP above with the X. Teslas are not Hondas or Toyotas, so if you're looking for that level of reliability, they're not for you. The issues we've had over the years have been minor and far outweighed by all the benefits of an electric SUV (that's also arguably the safest SUV on the market and also fun to drive).

The nationwide charging network that Tesla has is also a major plus. Traditional manufacturers may have their versions on the market soon, but they won't have the charging infrastructure.

+1

We've had a couple minor issues with our Tesla (e.g., one door handle got stuck closed), but for the most part EVs have fewer moving parts that can break and certainly much less maintenance.

Thanks all! For the person to ask, we want to stay under $50k. We are on order for an ID4 but I kind of wanted an SUV that sat higher, so I didn't feel uncomfortable driving among the monster SUVs people have on the roads these days.
