Mom/daughter bonding at the beach ideas?

Not sure if this is the right place to post this but here goes!

I really feel like I need to spend some special 1:1 time reconnecting with only child DD10 on our upcoming vacation. We will be staying at a beachfront resort. We already, as a family, spend the days at the pool, we typically wander the boardwalk for dessert, and usually walk along the beach every night at sunset.

I’m looking for little things I can do with her each day that will feel special, but won’t be time sucks (so no mani/pedi, etc etc.)

Any ideas?

How many people are on this trip? If she's an only child, I'm not sure why you need time outside of those things if it's just the 3 of you?

I think trying to do something little each day may not be as meaningful as doing something bigger. Like, take her to fancy dinner out. Or have her go with you to get bagels/donuts for everyone in the morning.

I think it's hard if just one person has decided they need to reconnect. Just spend time with her. No special activity needed.

Just jumping waves together. One on one. I just did that with my daughters on vacation. They loved it. Games or puzzles at night. In my experience, they love the simple things.

Rent bikes and bike down the beach with just her

Go for a night walk on the beach to just get your feet wet in the waves

Get one of those old time photos done of just you too or one of those scope photos

bike ride on the boardwalk in the morning just you two

Go out and get donuts for breakfast early in the morning for everyone

Special souvenir shopping just you two

Great ideas so far! I agree with others ... get in the water. My kids really like it when I'm in the ocean with them. I know they won't always feel this way, so I try to make the most of it. Also, little bike rides, collecting shells, donut run, watching a show on a rainy day ...

Could you do some kind of lesson (sailing, surfing, fishing) together?

Maybe some kind of beach related craft project? Making jewelry out of shells or beach glass?
