Thank you for posting and thank you for advocating for children in foster care! As a teacher who has had several (many) students move through the foster care system, I am grateful for the foster parents that have stepped in to be the bridge for these students.

I adopted my 2 kids (bio siblings) via the foster care system when I was 31 and single. They were 2 and 3. Thank god for the help we received to make us a family. And the proud grandparents can't thank you enough for their (spoiled rotten) grandchildren. I met my husband a year after the formal adoption and I think they bonded to him more quickly than they did me!

For those who are thinking the adoption route to parenthood (I never considered any other way) it did not cost me a dime. All the money I had saved up from the time I was 17 went into their college fund.
