I liked how the lawyer was like "well he just sounds like he's going crazy." Its like hmmmm wonder who else sometimes sounds like they are going crazy?? O ya, everyone else in this awful shitshow of a situation. |
He has PTSD and alcohol issues. |
Was he doing now the military? He acts as though he's always barely containing rage. His forced fake smile, and sometimes he talks in a phony quiet voice like he's trying to prove he's gentle...Or sane. I think he's frightening. I wonder if that new girlfriend dumped him yet. |
| (I mean, Was Nathan in the military?) |
What does he have PTSD from? I thought when Oh Hi Janelle met him, he was a model. |
He served in Iraq in the mid 2000s. |
I was also wondering about that. He texted David about it more than once, so not sure if it can be completely explained away by alcohol. Why would he terminate parental rights just bc he is moving to London? To avoid having to pay child support? And what works he be doing in London? |
Agreed. I think I find him more frightening than David, actually. |
I doubt he'll go to London. He needs to get off the drugs and get his self-esteem up from things other than his body. AKA he needs a real job. Oh wait, I've said this about several of the girls - Oh Hi Janelle, Leah, etc. |
| How can Nathan collect disability benefits but also work selling timeshares? Wouldn't he have to show that he is unable to work to get benefits? Or has he established his disability since he started to appear on the show? Does appearing on Teen Mom = work that would disqualify one from collecting benefits? |
For some reason I think Gary Shirley also is on disability. Why would I know that?!? Weird. |
Maybe he's on disability due to his vet-induced PTSD? I have no idea how that works. |
Gary got publicity for parking in a handicapped spot when he isn't disabled. |
He can collect VA benefits while still working. My sister was disabled as a result of her service. It didn't prevent her from working, but she is allowed to collect benefits while fully employed. It's different from social security type disability classification. According to my sister, it's more like "sorry we screwed up part of your life, here's some money to make it better." |
They definitely earn more than the Social Security Administration allows ...unless it's not considered "work"? (which it really isn't, I guess) |
