browning patch on lawn

| part of my lawn is looking brown and dry while the rest is looking green/healthy. we had same issue last year. thoughts on what the issue could be and how to fix? thanks |

| is it in your front yard? If so, it could be dog(s) peeing there. |

This part of the yard is on the slope, so the dogs prefer to pee in the corner, which ironically is very green. I was thinking fungus, but perhaps too early for that? |

Yes, most likely. They feast on grass roots (hence the dead grass). |
