Do you buy extra warranty on equipment?

We are going in for a treadmill and a rowing machine, wondering whether to get the extra warranty or not. Treadmill comes with a lifetime warranty for motor and frame but 2 for parts and labor. Input?

I did on mine. Not sure why other than I was thinking I did not want to be without the home equipment for a long time. I am sure it was a waste of money, but figured the part supply and repair time would be faster with the warranty and would help keep me on track.

When we bought our nordic track about 8 years ago, they offered a 5 year warranty for $200 and then kept offering extensions for a little more. It has been great as we've gotten electronic components and the rubber treadmill part replaced.
