Small white cocoons in outdoor shed - how to treat?

Anonymous
I have small, white fuzzy cocoons on the ceiling edges of my outdoor shed (which does get pretty warm). Google pictures don't look like what I have (everything suggests bagworms which are more grey).

Are these moths and if so, how to treat? I don't want them to multiply, wander into my home or ruin anything in the shed. Thanks!

Sounds like hatched spider eggs to me.

Thanks - they are long and slender. ewww hope not spiders.

Can you just physically remove them with a broom? Or your gloved hands, if you're not too squeamish? I doubt they will ruin anything in your shed, unless you are storing your fine linens in there, and your house is not their preferred home either.

I would just let them be, but removal w/a broom would be my 2nd choice.

Spider egg sacs. Once they hatch your shed will be full of daddy long legs

Good idea. I don't want an infestation so sweeping sounds good.

Googled pictures and they are nightmare fuel. Thankfully, "mine" are not balls but oval and thin. Thanks!
