Are you still loving your Instapot?

I didn’t buy one when it seemed like everyone was buying one, but I’m thinking about it now because I’ll have a 5-6 week period over the summer when I won’t have a stove or oven due to kitchen remodel.

Are you still loving yours? How’s the clean up?

Never took mine out of the box.

I never bought one either, Op. I’ll be watching the responses here. I’m a newly single mom and looking for anything to make my life easier. My ex took care of grocery shopping and dinners; taking that over has been rough.

If you won’t have a stove or oven, I’d say go for it.

I'm a new buyer - have had it for about a month. I waited so long because I didn't want another appliance I wouldn't use. Bought it primarily to speed up making bone broth and soups. Absolutely love it - but I had a clear use case going in. It's been life changing for reducing cooking smells.

I am like you OP. Generally I feel like if I made it to 50 without it, I probably don't need it but maybe it would give us some new variety. I pretty much think it will be in the basement in a few years though.

I use mine to make a weekly pot of oatmeal.

Clean up is a bit of a pain because oatmeal is sticky! But otherwise fine.

If I was without a stove, I'd use it for things like rice, stews (although maybe not in summer?). You can also do a full spaghetti dinner in it, with the spaghetti cooked in the sauce, but I haven't tried that.

Still use mine regularly. Makes good stews, curries, biryanis. Definitely helpful in a kitchen remodel.

I use it several times a week. It’s great for cooking staples like rice, dried beans, oatmeal. Easy for hard boiled eggs and healthier homemade macaroni and cheese. Also use it to make instant pot recipes but less often than for staples.

We use ours all the time. Beans, rice, potatoes, shredded chicken or pork that goes in other recipes, ribs (to be finished on the grill), hard boiled eggs, etc.

I still use mine at least once or twice a week and have for several years. Bought it when I didn't have an oven for about 6 weeks.

I hardly ever used mine for the first few years, but now I use it more frequently because I developed a really dislike of raw chicken. Now I just dump the chicken in frozen, shred it, and use it for enchiladas and things like that. Probably once a week. And maybe once a week I use it for rice. It doesn't seem like much but it's worth the space for sure.

Still in the box.

Not anymore.

Used it once. Unneeded and annoying.
