Chinese lantern plant, poison or not?

I have some Chinese lantern seeds, and they look kind of unique. Online, it mentions it is poisonous for moderate consumption, how about if I touch the leaves, flowers and stems but not eating them? Will that trigger rash or skin infection like poison ivy?

Touching leaves won't give you a rash, at least it did not for me.

But, some animal will still eat it. That's what happened to mine. Maybe that animal is now dead, who knows.
