My hair needs serious help! Old Town cut/color recommendation?

Anonymous
The title says most of it. My hair needs to be un-pandemiced. I have been dying my grays (mostly around my temples and part, ugh) to my natural very dark brown with Madison Reed. The gray is covered by my hair is lifeless, too long, and really unruly. It's super thick and pretty frizzy. I need an awesome stylist to recommend a plan for moving forward. I would love to get some highlights or do something to make my hair have more dimension, but it has to be something that can be maintained. I have a 2 and 4 year old so not a ton of time to be sitting at the salon every 4 weeks dying my roots, though if that's what I need to do, so be it.

Any thoughts on where I can go and what I should ask for? I am in Ft. Hunt so thinking that something in Old Town Alexandria may be convenient. Thanks for any recommendations!

When I lived in Old Town I went to Glynn Jones. He does a great cut and color!

Sue Scott at Wisp Salon in the Carlyle Area. She absolutely saved my hair when a very high end salon in Georgetown absolutely fried it with color. She is a color genius, and every cut she's given me has grown out really well. She's got an Instagram account with a lot of before/afters of her work.

I second Sue Scott.

Stylists by North. I saw Liz Madore, she is incredible. I really like the salon too. I moved so I don't go to her anymore but she's someone I would have stuck with for life.
