Green card holder applying through usajobs

I have a green card and am looking for a position at the National Institutes of Health. Applications must go through usajobs. While I know green card holders can work for the federal government, the usajobs website is unclear about the procedure for people like me.
Does anyone have insight into this? Thanks. |

What kind of position are you looking for? I see postings for jobs like staff scientist or PI where you directly contact the person listed. They are Title 42 positions. USAJobs is mainly for GS positions and you need to be a US for that.
The other option is to work as a contractor. |
