sleepys or mattress discounters

Looking for an inexpensive but good quality mattress. How do these 2 compare? I do not have time to go to both so am ready to buy in the one I go to. Thanks for any info.

Well we just bought a Serta Eurotop King for about 1K, and that was after delivery, removal and frame were added in. I don't know if its still on but Serta was having a half off sale practically everywhere I looked. We ended up going with Mattress Discounters on the corner of Bradley and Wisconson.

I think both are pretty much the same. You can find lower and higher priced mattresses at both. What annoyed me was trying to compare prices. There's no way. You can find a quality Simmons mattress at one location, but the other store will call it something different (although it's the same manufacturer). I think they all have similar price comparisons and similar deals.

Thanks all, that helps! I'm going to check out csn, since it's online and also sleepys.

mattress discounters has a site too, but I didnt find it very helpful.

The pp is right: Everyone carries the same mattresses, but at every different store its called something different. If you were interested in shopping around, what you do is take a notebook and grill the salesman on specs. Then when you get home do a search for the mattress that has those stats at that retailer.

This was my plan. Of course we walk into the store and DH declares, *I only want to see Sealy and Serta!* so the half off sale turned out to be the best deal for the mattress we settled on.

Just a thing with me, but I can never shop at Mattress Discounters... all because of their stoooopid ad jingle/campaign from the 80s-90s (or whenever it ran). (You know the one: singing about all the things you can do on a mattress... )

We bought a fab new mattress a year ago from Mattress Warehouse. We're now in the market for another mattress (for a different bed) and will likely just go back to Mattress Warehouse for it (since we know what we want.)

I agree Mattress Warehouse is much better. They will easily negotiate prices down that beat mattress discounters. I have been buying my beds for years from Mattress Warehouse and I have never had a problem.
