Chapter books to read to 4-5 year olds

Anonymous
We finished the magic treehouse series, Charlie & the Chocolate Factory and James and the Giant Peach.

My kid likes chapter books with pictures on most pages. Suggestions for other wonderful chapter books? I hated Princess in Black (just so boring to read and no interesting characters). I'd love some fun, funny, or heartwarming chapter book suggestions!

It really isn't about what YOU like, mom. It's about what your child likes. a 4-5 year old will LOVE Princess in Black books. Try the Mercy Watson series.

My kid loved the Princess in Black books and the Claude books. Both have the right amount of silly and pictures on each page.
