DP. No there is a big difference between 13/14 vs 18-20 year olds both physically and mentally. They all knew. The victims were as young as 11.

They were still likely cheating on their spouses. And really, it isn't that hard to tell if someone is underage or close to it.

Actually, it can be VERY hard to tell. My kids are teens and young adults. When I attend events at the high school, some students look quite old. It has to do with facial features. Their faces just look mature and adult. If I met them in the street, I would totally think they were well into their 20s. By contrast, my kids look preternaturally young. My 20 year old was told he looked 12 when he applied for Global Entry a few weeks ago! He wasn't happy about it

And that’s why it’s strongly recommended by almost everyone that you ascertain someone is of legal age and consenting rather than trafficked before you have sex with them.
