Thanks! |
A bit different, but my 12 yr old son is really enjoying Spy School and Spy Camp. |
Stuart Gibbs also has a series, the first book is Space Case. It's a mystery written at a pretty quick pace. I'm reading it to my 9 year old But it is great for a 12 year old too. |
Unwanteds series |
My 10 year old loves all the books by Alan Gratz (Refugee, Grenade, etc) |
Based on the books that you said he likes, I recommend the Storm Runner triology. |
Theodore Boone: Kid Lawyer series
Endling series |
Do you happen to know why he is not interested in (or didn't like) the books selected? The Redwall series Eragon Ender's Game Artemis Fowl Not in anyway related to the books mentioned previously, but the Phantom Tollbooth can be great for that age, but if not generally for reluctant readers (there's limited plot and a lot of it is puns and wordplay). |
Dark is Rising series by Susan Cooper
Green Knowe series by Lucy M. Boston The Three Investigators series by Robert Arthur Hidden Talents by David Lubar Holes by Louis Sachar Interworld by Neil Gaiman How to Eat Fried Worms by Thomas Rockwell The Westing Game by Ellen Raskin |
Alex Rider series.

This. And is he too old for the I Survived series? |
OP here. Here’s what he’s said: Lord of the Rings - “I’ve already seen the movies” Divergent - “it’s just a knock off of Hunger Games” Golden Compass - he hasn’t actually tried but we tried to watch the series on HBO and he wasn’t interested and we tried to listen to it on Audible on a car trip and it was “boring” |
He has similar tastes to my 11/12 year old.
More suggestions: -The Underland Chronicles, Suzanne Collins (same author as Hunger Games) -Wings of Fire series -Endling series |
