Should I get highlights or lowlights with 100% gray?

Anonymous
I’m giving the gray a try - but I want to intervene a little bit (rather than going back to single process every 4-6 weeks). What looks better with gray hair - highlights (was thinking blondish) or lowlights? Anyone have experience with this?

I had been dying my hair a light brown with honey highlights before going gray.

Thanks.

Lowlights. I’d do lowlights with a Demi. It is gentle on your hair and fades/blends better

I am so interested in the same question!
Is your hair now completely grown out, or are you thinking of doing low/hi-lights on the roots and the previously-dyed?

if it's really white, blond might work better for growth (since it will blend into the white better)

It’s almost completely grown out - I still have some of the dyed color on the ends. It’s more “salt” than pepper, though not quite white.

Does Demi cover 100# gray?

No, but it somewhat does

Lowlights! I don't think blonde highlights on silver hair would be attractive.
