Anyone know why it’s sold out? Is it discontinued? |
I really hope not. It's the only reason I have a Costco membership. |
Costco reformulated it. Old version was discontinued last Nov or Dec so it has been out of stock for a while. Costco started rolling out the new formulation to stores in Feb. My Costco expects to receive it sometime this month.
I haven't seen comments or feedback on whether the new formulation is the same/better/worse. Packaging also was tweaked, but looks very similar. |
Nooooooooooooo! That is my personal favorite, I really hope they keep it the same and the change is only to the packaging. |
I've heard that it is/was Purology. I'm not sure I'll purchase until I can confirm what it is, since I don't want to use shampoos with sulfates. |
It’s coming back really soon. Some stores already have the reformulated bottle in stock. |
It was NOT urology. Someone made up that rumor solely because the bottle was the same purple as Purology, but my sister is a stylist at a salon that sells Purology, she compared Kirkland to multiple Purology formulations and it didn't match any of them. |
Any update on the new formula? Any different? |
It’s different! In just opened a new bottle of the shampoo (still have the original conditioner left) and my scalp and hairline are itchy and some red spots on my neck after 4 uses. I must be allergic to something new in this reformulation. Plus, I feel like my hair is oilier after one day and I am a post-menopausal woman. Now, I have to search for a new shampoo and conditioner. UGH!!!!! |
I have found it to be pretty much the same. It gets my hair clean and soft. |
If you're looking for an alternative, I really like the Pantene essential botanicals at costco |
Seriously? |
It is definitely different. The label now says it is made with avocado and argon oils. It didn’t have these before. My scalp was red and itchy after one use of the new product and I used the old one for years. So sad. |
The fragrance it leaves on hair is now horrible…sort of acrid and unpleasant. |
