APS: how'd drop off go today?

Anonymous
Our kid is going back in school on Thursday and we're mentally prepared for a really long drop off/pick up. Picking up his iPad & other supplies in August took us at least 2 hours. How'd it go for kids back today?

Very well! It was much smoother than I thought. We walk to school. The temperature check and showing the green check mark went fast as kids in a line went into the building. They had staff available to walk the kids to their rooms. All seemed very happy! Can't wait to pick up DC this afternoon and hear about the first day.

Great! My child normally rides the bus, but we opted out to make space for other kids in favor of driving. Our school communications had been a little intimidating about the process, the fact that staff couldn't help kids out of cars (my son is young), etc. It went very smoothly, did not take long, and the staff were very nice and did in fact give him a hand out of the car.

He was thrilled to be back.

It went great! Only strangeness was that they didn't check for the checkmark when kids got on the bus. Bus was on time and kids were very excited to be back!

Please report this, APS needs to know.
Glad it went great otherwise!

Car drop-off took 2 minutes. Very efficient. Tuckahoe Elementary

Today schools had either Prek and 1st returning or just 1st if they don't have prek classes. My school was quick and easy. I wouldn't anticipate anything like ipad pick up however I do think schools with high hybrid numbers will take a bit more time starting next week when 3-4 grade levels are back each day.
