Ummmm, I guess you’re a parent coach. Sorry, but the majority of parent coaches are parents first, and coaches second. They ALL favor their kids. It’s a relief for parents to have their child be coached by a non-parent coach. And from what I hear and can see, Ricky is a great coach. My kid goes to Stoddert and so many of his classmates older siblings had him as a coach and loved him. I don’t understand the hate at all. It seems crazy to me.

Ask the kids Coach Davenport has coached, they think he & Coach Robinson are excellent. They bring the best out of each kid, and are mentors to them even after they are no longer on their team.

I just can’t believe that all of this drama was created, not to improve the league, but apparently to settle a personal vendetta from Klisch against Davenport, just to get his chance to coach in the summer. For all the others who are supporting Klisch, just wait until the day you publicly disagree with him. He will turn on you instantly and start lobbing baseless attacks. A sad state of affairs.

Hello- I hate all things about this site and haven’t checked it for over 5 years, but am making an exception as I was told someone posted asking for actual baseball info. Hoping that person follows the NWLL Twitter/X acct and the NWLL softball IG acct. We hope to have some info up again on the NWLL baseball IG acct but having issues gaining access.

have you READ any of the preceding threat. He always seemed to have a nice demeanor with the kids, but based on his role in all this, he shouldn't be involved with any of this anymore.

Yes, I’ve read all of the Klisch and Sweeney threats. I’ve also seen Davenport work with kids in the league for years. His heart is 100% in the right place and he has volunteered with the league probably longer than anyone else. So many see it. Maybe those that have only gotten involved on dcum or via the propaganda feel differently because they probably haven’t coached with him or worked closely with him. The entire process has been a disaster and it is very clear that what is happening now is not an improved league, it’s simply a league trying to do what klisch and Sweeney are bullying them into doing via legal actions.

dp: He volunteered with NWLL for too long. It was bad for governance for him to be Chair for year after year.
