He couldn't even keep his commitment to retire at the agreed-upon time, when he was well past his prime and had already played much longer than expected. She wants to do eco-traveling, spend lots of time with her extended family, and sustain connections with Brazilian culture. Not surprised her current BF is Brazilian. Those things matter more as you age. He's not interested in any of this, wants to hang out in his huge mansion, date models, and watch football. Nothing in common beyond the kids.
