She can F off. What a useless tool of the patriarchy. |
Filibuster. It’s keeping those type of people in their place for a long time. Maybe ask Joe Manchin? |
+1 This is 100% on the illegitimate, lying justices. |
Filibuster and gerrymandering. The gridlock is the goal - it delegitimizes government. |
Have Democrats tried drafting and passing such a law, which has broad support among US citizens? Relying on flawed past judicial rulings to maintain such an important right is fragile, as we've just observed. |
this is what sickens me. as a woman that had a traumatic miscarriage at 8 weeks of a very wanted pregnancy that would have died if I had been scared to go to the hospital for fear of "self aborting" this is terrifying. Plus all those children that will be abused and killed by parents that resent them for being born. also as a woman that just had a very wanted baby and "textbook" pregnancy, forced birth is repulsive. my body will never be the same (and I'm not talking physically). This is sick. |
+1 White, hot rage. Don’t F with me or my daughter. |
So why is congress able to pass anything at all if this is always the outcome? |
US congress has passed a large number of laws despite having filibusters in place. What's so different about this one? |
Two REPUBLICANS tried and failed. https://19thnews.org/2022/02/collins-murkowski-introduce-alternative-senate-bill-abortion-rights/ They should push for it again. Use all of their political will. |
Do you know 60 senators willing to protect women? |
Congress has been dysfunctional for a long time. |
while this is true, politics has always been a game of battleship. You position your ships to block. |
Last election Susan Collins 417,645 votes. That’s all it takes! The tyranny of the minority |
Fair enough. Trump was blocked in 2020. And will be blocked again if GOP is fool enough to run him again. |
