S/O Swapping out gas stove for electric/induction

Anonymous
I read the previous post about switching from an electric stove to gas. We want to do the opposite - switch from gas appliances to electric/induction. We started monitoring indoor air quality during the pandemic and have been shocked to see the levels of CO and VOCs. Our immediate concern is our gas stove. Who do we need to hire to shut off the gas line and make the electrical changes needed for an induction stove? Any recommendations in NOVA?

I think you need a gas plumber to cap the line. Assuming you have an outlet and dedicated circuit in your kitchen behind the stove, any guy from Lowe’s or wherever should be able to install an electric oven. You can always have an electrician come out to double check if it is an older home in particular. Older kitchen electric has to be updated to handle modern day appliances.
