I normally stick to gray and white throw pillows.
I'm in a new space with white tile floors, beige/tan walls, and dark brown leather couches. Big windows overlooking the water. Ideas, please! |
I'm thinking turquoise and yellow--maybe a deep but bright gold?
I googled brown leather turquoise and yellow and voila--first hit was a pinterest pic. I doubt I can embed pic but I can try https://i.pinimg.com/564x/e1/30/a2/e130a2231f5dd51915bad15491185faa.jpg" border="0" class="embeddedImage" /> |
How about teal? |
and of course I can't |
Dark brown or black suede. |
I would go with various prints in different tones of light and dark brown. Keep the color palette neutral since the couch is so dark. Maybe one pillow can pick up the accent color of a lamp or carpet to tie it all together. |
Dark brown is neutral so I'd say you can go any direction you please. Do you have a rug already? Maybe pull colors from that? |
Use the brown as the neutral and put down a large multi-colored rug. Then pick up jewel tones from the rug for the throw pillows. I would do designs in the pillows (that coordinate with the rug, but don't "match") so you don't have solid sofa with solid pillows. |
We have a brown leather couch in front of big windows overlooking a lake, light brown floors and white walls and, while they're not these exact pillows, they're close to the colors in these pink/blue/yellow ones from West Elm: https://www.westelm.com/products/crewel-landscape-pillow-cover-t5395/?pkey=cpillows
