This “mild” covid is the sickest I’ve ever been

Whatever you’re doing to avoid the virus, keep doing it.

I’ve been miserable for 10 days now with incredible fatigue, nausea, a fever that won’t go away, a splitting headache, chills. Fortunately my breathing is fine and pulse ox is 99. And I still feel absolutely awful.

Me too. I am on Day 12 and feel horrible. In addition to the symptoms you've described, I also have body aches so intense it is difficult to move.

And the fear about how this will play out is horrific.

I’m so sorry it sounds absolutely miserable! I feel like I know SO many people with covid now when I only knew a handful between March and August.

Do you know how you got it? Or what do you suspect?

Sorry, hope you feel better!

Seems like there is a wide range of “mild.” My 91yo grandmother in assisted living currently has it and other than fatigue and a light cough doesn’t feel all that bad. So random considering her age and risk factors. Fingers crossed it continues that way.

OP here. No idea how I got it. My family has been vigilant. No restaurant, no travel, nothing. I think it’s just extremely widespread and I probably made a mistake at the wrong time— touched my eye after going to the grocery store or something.

Well now I feel vindicated continuing grocery delivery, at least.

I hope both of you get well very soon! Such a long time to be so sick. This is such a scary sickness.

I had moderate covid (no hospitalization required, but I did get a nebulizer to help open up my airways) for 14 days and it was terrible. I wish people would take this seriously, I was so worried I was going to have to go to the hospital and we all know what happens when someone goes to the hospital with Covid...

I’m sorry I hope it passes quickly!

I'm sorry but when I have been really ill, and I mean REALLY ILL, I have not been able to look at a computer screen / type anything coherent.

You'll be fine.

This is why OP noted she had a MILD case. She's been one lucky human all her life.

Right. Hence why I said it is mild. It’s still much worse than the other illnesses I’ve had, which have been mono and pneumonia, and the flu.
I realize I do not win your suffering olympics here, and I’m okay with that.

It’s definitely not a competition! People are so weird who post on here. OP I so sorry you feel so awful and I truly hope it goes up from here. My 78 yr old mom with health issues said the worst was the headache.

It’s kind of scary that you’ve been so vigilant and you still got it. How frustrating for you.

Older folks can present with delirium or withdrawal. And the illness can turn on a dime for the worse. I hope she’s getting supplements and medications and stays OK.
