Fanciest restaurant in DC?

What's a really nice and restaurant in The DMV! The one you have loved. It's okay if it's closed during covid. I don't plan
On going anytime soon!

Fancy like jacket and tie required? Or fancy like a special experience you can't get elsewhere?

Depends what you mean by fancy. For dressing up and making it an occasion:

Inn at Little Washington
L'Auberge Chez Francois
Bourbon Steak
Minibar
Blue Duck

I am not a fan of Pineapple & Pearls but some are. Also didn't love Komi, and Komi was definitely more casual.

Sushi Taro
The Dabney

Jacket not required at either, but the experience is top

+1 to this list. I didn’t like Komi either. I did like P&P but we sat at the bar so it was a different experience. Rose’s would be on this list except for the no -reservation policy. Not getting dressed up to stand in line.

Two that don’t have dress codes, but are terrific:

Fiola and Fiola Mare
Blacksalt

I don't find Rose's fancy at all.

A new one to add to the list is Annabelle.
