Does menopur need to be refrigerated before use?

Just received my menopur delivery. No instructions whether to refrigerate or not. Google says can be stored at room temp for 48 hours for transport but should then be refrigerated. Waiting to hear back from IVF nurse...

Did you get the kind you have to mix? If so, no refrigeration required. That is most common. There is a kind I’ve heard of people getting that comes pre-mixed, but it’s rare. The premixed stuff has to be refrigerated.

Good luck, OP. One word of warning that I wish someone had shared with me...

Don't hesitate on your jab, and make sure there is no liquid on the needle for the menopur stick. It burns the skin if it makes contact! I made a rookie mistake after removing the air from the syringe, and the drop of liquid on my skin caused a bad reaction.

+1. If it’s powder and saline, then it does not need to be refrigerated. And yes, wipe the needle with an alcohol pad before injecting. The menopur burn is real!
