I received a gift card from HBH. I don’t eat ham. But could buy one for someone else. Are the desserts any good? |
They have way more than just ham. You can get lunch sandwiches there (or salad or soup, they have a lot of turkey options and even a vegetarian sandwich and soup most days ) or you can buy sides, desserts , etc. |
Are the hams good? |
The side dishes we have had from there were not good. They do have desserts though. |
Yes but they're incredibly sweet. Almost like dessert ham - so if you're not used to that you won't like it. I recommend going to a HBH store (after Thanksgiving because the lines will be around the block this week) and just testing their lunch menu. Then use the gift card for Christmas festivities. |
The ham and turkey are good but sweet. My in laws are obsessed with them so we buy a ham and turkey and bring them every year for Christmas and they fight over the leftovers. |
Agree that they’re very sweet. I grew up on country ham and smoked dinner hams and found them really sweet . But we also never ate fruit or sweet with meat (no cranberry sauce, no applesauce with pork, no sweet bbq sauce) in our house. |
Op here. I think I’ll get a ham and gift it. Thanks |
They have turkey and lunch sandwiches etc... you can also sell it on the black market |
That implies illegitimacy. Places like giftcardgranny are perfectly legit. |
Why not just give the gift card? |
Give the entire card. Even if they don’t live near a store they can order what they want frozen. |
Why? So they can sell the card? Let OP do what she wants with it. I have people who demand cash or gift cards. Receiving a gift used to be enough. |
