| I'm wondering if this voter fraud/stolen election narrative is going to backfire on the GOP. If republican voters actually think that elections are rigged by democrats, why would they bother to show up to vote? Or maybe they don't actually think this, and it's just something they all tell each other. |
| They always do. By and large, Democrats have more voters that only vote during presidential elections than Republicans do. |
| No. Trump is not on the ballot. Now, if Trump went to GA and had "super spreaders" two weeks before run-offs, then they would show up. But, trump doesn't give a damn because he isn't going to be President. He will love sticking it to McConnell and Graham. |
| Yes. Republicans are traditionally much more faithful about voting than Democrats. |
I don't think it was previously GOP orthodoxy that elections are rigged. If they do turn out, does that mean they don't actually believe their bull about "rigged elections"? |
| If there are mail-in ballots, then trying to predict response will be difficult to impossible. |
|
Oh yes. They will turn out. I am a democrat and I do not think these elections are going to be close.
|
You forgot the “why.” The GOP has been suppressing the Democratic vote since the parties effectively flip flopped. Tell me, which kind of voting is easier - going to a local voting location where you’re white, in and out in 20 minutes or having to travel to a farther place/having to wait in line for hours and then have the GOP try and throw out your vote anyway? |

they will turn out in droves. they know that holding even a +1 majority in the senate is what they need to have 4 years of gridlock where laws are not passed, judges are not nominated, possible SC courts vacancies are going to be left open and so on.
actually this election was great for the GOP, 4 more years of an unhinged Trump would have been unpalatable even for them I think and the damage would have been difficult to pin it on somebody else. but now they will have the Dems and Biden to pin all the s$it on and if they keep the senate they can prevent the democratic agenda from being enacted, or even a compromise if the years under Obama are any indication of what we can expect. the base will come out strong because they believe they are the last bastion that can prevent the US from becoming a socialist failed state like Venezuela, run over by Muslim refugees where white Christians are persecuted and disarmed. |
+1 All else being equal I don't think telling voters their votes don't count is good for turnout. But this is Georgia folks. |
| I'm not counting on a low Republican turnout. I'm counting on a massive Dem turnout. |
| They will and it will be a comfortable victorious for the GOP. |
| Reading this just made me donate more to Fair Fight. |
| The republicans will come out. They always do. The only question is whether the democrats will turn out and make it a real race. |
| The Dems will turn out like never befoire. Stacey Abrams will continue turning the state. |
