Anyone watching tonight's APS school board meeting?

Or is everyone still watching the presidential election news and waiting for election results?

I'm giving the SB meeting one hour.

I said I wasn't going to but it's a distraction from the election. People seem to have calmed down considerably from the last two meetings.

Oh no. Privileged YHS kid can't play golf and get his college scholarship.

Ugh - didn't realize that Level 1 kids weren't getting in-person instruction.

They are being supported by assistants and/or SPED teachers.

So now it’s just “guidance”, not metrics? Since there’s nothing to be measured against?

I’m listening to the board meeting and watching CNN on mute. If Wolf starts freaking out I’ll ditch the board meeting. Happily.

My 5th grader wanted to stay in APS for middle school, but we’re going to need to seriously consider bailing. It’s a shame.

Sports Conditioning indoors exception but not academics inside?

Tannia Talento - what is she thinking?

It appears to me that Duran literally cares nothing whatsoever about instruction. What a horrible choice for a superintendent.

Conditioning is happening outdoors now. She was talking about competition. Allowing APS kids to do the same things that are happening outside of APS. Requiring classes to be back in session before a swim meet can happen makes no sense.

So schools are basically glorified rec centers?
