I have to buy a size or two down in Old Navy. Is the Gap sizing more accurate or is it similarly vanity sized? |
It's different. But how it differs depends on the piece and the type of sizing. |
OK, I'm looking at a pair of ribbed knit joggers. |
Check the size chart and go by your measurements. That's accurate for both of those brands. |
I’ve found Old Navy always seems to run larger than Gap. |
+1. I find this to be true for me and for my 10 year old. |
For me the other way round, I find gap larger than ON. |
Old Navy's sizing is all over the place - some of their smalls fit like XL on me, and some are itty bitty. Gap is somewhat more consistent. |
I think Gap is far more consistent in sizing, while Old Navy is all over the place. |
I think it depends on the item at Gap - my daughter loves Gap's jeggings and those seem pretty true to size, but I have jackets and other things that definitely are vanity sized. I try to stick to things that have a lot of reviews now that I'm buying online rather than trying on in person - that seems to help quite a bit in sorting out what runs large or small. |
Just got a pair of old navy jersey leggings in my normal size and could barely get them over my knees. |
