Griddle for induction stove?

Anonymous
We really need a griddle for making bacon, pancakes, sandwiches etc.

We don’t want anything enameled or fussy. We bought a cast iron griddle from lodge that was supposed to work on induction, but the bottom is too raised and our stove won’t heat it up.

Anyone know of other options? We’d consider an electric one but they all seem to have their own issues. Wondering how to proceed...

Thanks!

You can’t use a frying pan? I make all of the above in a frying pan on my induction range.

+1. I use a Lodge cast iron pan for all of these things. The 5 quart I believe. Works great and has so many other uses beyond what was stated.

Go buy a cast iron that is not warped.

My griddle works on my induction stove. Why are you still making bacon on the stove? Everyone here has learned to make it in the oven. So much easier and less messy.

Not OP but while I agree the oven is much less messy it takes a lot longer than the stove! But cooking bacon is kind of the pits, it's always so oily and smells up the house. I recently bought a pack of frozen, pre-cooked bacon for the first time and it was SO worth it.

Of course I realize this doesn't help with pancakes, etc. which you also asked about, OP. I have an induction stove too and it can be frustrating that so many pans won't work on it. Maybe just buy an electric griddle? Several of my friends have one of those and they all seem to love them.

OP here. Sigh. I want a griddle. I don't need suggestions on different pan sizes. I'm also perfectly happy with how I currently cook bacon.

The cast iron griddle I bought isn't warped. It's "reversible" and the bottom side has grill ridges and so not enough of it is close to the induction.

So -- trying again -- does anyone have recommendations for a griddle that works with their induction stovetop?

PP that says that friends have electric griddles -- do you happen to know which brands they have? Most of the ones I looked up had very mixed reviews.
