Blue light glasses?

Anonymous
anyone here have any data or science that these glasses are helpful or make a difference? with three kids startng remote leanring soon and being on screens for 7 hours a day, I want to think through best practices. curious what people think of these? I know personally screens give me headaches if I spend hours a day on them, so I like they thought of these glasses if they actually work...

The American Academy of Ophthalmology says they are not necessary and the so-called research that blue light damages your eyes is junk science. Google AAO and blue light glasses.

My prescription reading lenses have a "blue light" coating, and I can tell that the screen is significantly "bluer" when I don't have them on. I mostly wanted it to see if it would help the blue light from keeping me awake in the evening. I'm not sure I can tell any difference, but I think it can't hurt.

We get our prescription glasses with the blue light coating. I don't notice a difference but agree with PP it cannot hurt.
