Will my breasts get smaller again???

I had my first baby about a month ago and my boobs are out of control. THey are ENORMOUS compared to what they used to be - 3 cups sizes up and a 36 instead of a 34. I'm fitting into my pants, but nowhere near fitting in ANY of my tops. Also, I wear a uniform for work (I'm in the military) and none are even close to fitting.
I'm breastfeeding and wondering if my breasts will ever go back to closer to the size they used to be? Please tell me yours did and when it happened!! |

| It depends on a lot of things, particularly how much weight you gained. I'm back to my normal bra size, but it took me about 18 months to get there |

You're totally normal. Unfortunately, you may "deflate" more than you'd like, but let's hope not

My DC is just over a year. I BF exclusively, introduced solids at 5.5 months and have weaned down to one feed a day now. I just started using my old bras. I got smaller gradually, probably starting when the baby was 6 months old, though I shrank at a faster rate after 10 months. Btw I now weigh less than my pre-pregnancy weight. Pants are hanging off me. This seems to happen to some people who BF; I won't be surprised if I gain back as I wean completely.
I couldn't fit back into my pants after a month; took me closer to three. That's fast!

mine got smaller than they were pre-preg. when I stopped BF. I also was enormous after giving birth....even my maternity tops didn't fit (how crazy is that??). I had to go out and buy bigger tops post-partum. I tended to hang onto the upper body girth until I weaned....seriously...it is like my ribs and upper torso whittle back by 1 year postpartum. |

there were two threads on this a while ago - try looking for "shriveled raisins" and "golf balls in socks".
(Many people said their breasts got huge while BFing and then much smaller after BF, smaller even than before pregnancy. Happened to me too. Sigh.) |

Mine did, unfortunately. Was looking forward to a bigger size, but here I am back to 34 A

I'll totally be there with you soon. Sigh. I'm more worried about these people who said their breasts were smaller post-BFing! OP, in my experience your ribcage will gradually shrink, but your breasts will stay bigger as long as you are BFing. On the rare occasion that I wear a regular bra (night out etc), I wear the larger bra size I wore while I was pregnant. Overall I weigh about 10 pounds less than I did pre-pregnancy, and I had to buy new pants three sizes smaller than before. |
