Half a dozen privates in Vermont are doomed. Publics too, such as what used to be Lyndon State "University."

The college shakeout is coming. Small schools that were already struggling financially will not make it through this.

You think the colleges being sold are bad - the fallout in small college towns is going to be horrendous. Property will be devalued overnight.

They should turn them into 55+ year, active adult communities. Keep the communal dining hall. Keep the amenities.

this is a brilliant idea actually, assuming they could add elevators/ramps etc to the older buildings
