Resources & ideas for MS kids

Anonymous
Parent of a rising 6th grader here who needs suggestions for a public school kid stuck with DL. Are people doing pods for their MS kids (and how does that work given the different schedules?) Please share any and all ideas for managing both the education and the social side of things for tweens.

I think too old for pods and too variable assuming your kid's school has different levels of math and languages, etc. I would do DL from home and make regular plans for after school hours.

Like Molly on Tuesdays, Wednesdays basketball at the park, Thursdays all meet at so and so's house, etc.

A million after school/extrcurrcular activities will rise to take the place with varying levels of safety so we might pick one of those as well.

I really really hope the bolded part is true. My kid desperately needs to be out of the house and engaged with other kids. I'm just afraid that they will shut down all sports and activities like they did in March.
